Should I RX?

It is important to remember that in CrossFit, the goal should not always be to RX every WOD (workout of the day). While it may be a satisfying accomplishment, it is not always necessary or even the most beneficial for your overall fitness. Every WOD has a designated stimulus and the goal should be to achieve that stimulus, whether it be through scaling or modifying movements. Pushing yourself too hard to RX every workout can lead to injury and burnout, rather than progress and improvement. It is important to listen to your body and understand that progress is not always linear. Emphasizing the stimulus of the workout rather than the RX will lead to better long-term results and a more well-rounded fitness journey.

When it comes to CrossFit workouts, it's important to remember that some of them are not meant to be finished. The goal of these workouts is not to complete a set number of reps or finish under a certain time, but rather to push yourself to your limits and see how far you can go. These workouts are designed to test your mental and physical toughness, and to help you build resilience. They are meant to be challenging, and it's important to remember that it's not about finishing the workout, but about pushing yourself as hard as you can and seeing what you are capable of. Even if you don't finish the workout, you will still have accomplished something by pushing yourself to your limits. Remember that progress and improvement are not always linear, and sometimes the best progress comes from failing to finish a workout, as it helps you identify your weaknesses and work on them.
